PRETTY YOUNG THING takes place at Rosenholm gymnasium at the start of the school year. There are a lot of rituals that the new first-year students must go through which are of great importance to their future life in high school, not least their personal life. We follow six young boys and girls whose personal boundaries are quickly challenged in different ways.
Frida starts her first year along with her best friend Selma. The two girls quickly become friends with their mutual first-year student Nadja, whose boyfriend Emil is best friends with Nadja’s big brother Pelle. Both guys are in their third and final year of high school. Emil and Frida instantly catch feelings for each other. When Frida is invited to the annual ritual party for first-year students, but Selma isn’t, their friendship starts to fall apart. Frida’s actions are exposed to the entire school and soon she loses her footing in the social game…

Furthermore, she has a Master's degree in TV Drama from Goldsmith University in London. She is the co-founder of the independent Film school, Super16, and she was one of the first people to graduate as a director from the very same school. Among them 'Park Road' (2010), '2900 Happiness' (2007-2008), 'Pros and Cons' (2018) and the Christmas shows consisting of 24 episodes, 'The Twins and Santa Claus' (2013) and 'Ludvig and Santa Claus' (2011). Her feature film debut was with 'Iqbal Farooq' (2015), followed by 'Hunting Season' (2019) as her second feature film. “Pretty Young Thing” is her latest movie.
After falling out with her childhood friend Frida during first year of High School at Rosenholm Gymnasium, Selma started hanging out with two other girls: Alberte and Jasmin. On the last night of summer break, before starting her second year, Selma goes out partying with her new festive friends. That night she has an intense encounter with the incredibly attractive and slightly older guy Johan, who, just a few days later, turns out to be her new music teacher.
Johan helps Selma rediscover her hidden and long-forgotten love for music, and the connection between them develops into a passionate and exhilarating — but also forbidden — romance. Through him, Selma is confronted with sides of herself that she has been suppressing. But the secret relationship also puts her under pressure and leads to problems that she struggles to navigate.
